The Congress party in Hyderabad is trying to attract important figures from other political parties in the Old City. They are targeting a former corporator and a well-known businessman who is the son of a former MLC. The party leaders are hopeful that these individuals will join the party, and there may be an event on September 17 where they could officially join.

The leaders at the Hyderabad district level are reaching out to well-known faces who can challenge the BRS-AIMIM alliance. They hope to offer these individuals tickets in areas with a significant Muslim population. The party leaders have been busy this weekend, releasing posters against the TRS and BJP and engaging with local leaders.

The party has also recruited between 250 and 300 booth-level agents in the Old City, including in AIMIM leader Akbaruddin Owaisi’s constituency.
