The new Congress government in Telangana is quickly working to implement welfare schemes and development programs for the state’s 4 crore residents. In just 100 days, the government has already achieved significant milestones.
Upon taking office on December 7, 2023, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy brought a sense of freedom and joy to the state. The government has opened up Pragati Bhavan, now known as Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Praja Bhavan, for people to submit applications and voice their concerns twice a week.
The government has already implemented five out of six Guarantees, including initiatives like free bus travel for women, an increase in the Arogyasri limit to Rs 10 lakh, and the Gruha Jyoti scheme providing free power to deserving families. Additionally, over 29,000 government jobs have been filled, and new notifications have been issued for more job opportunities.
The government has also taken steps to address alleged corruption, releasing a white paper on the state’s economic situation and initiating inquiries into various issues like the Medigadda barrage damage, ORR toll tender irregularities, and VAT evasion in the Commercial Taxes Department. Investigations are ongoing in several areas to ensure transparency and accountability.
