Telangana Congress In-Charge Warns Leaders Against Internal Conflicts
Telangana Congress in-charge Meenakshi Natarajan has taken a strict stance against internal conflicts within the party. She warned that strict action would be taken against leaders who create unnecessary disputes.
During the TPCC extended meeting on Friday, Natarajan urged senior leaders to stop engaging in theatrics and instead focus on real results in party activities and governance. She emphasized the need for leaders to work towards strengthening the party and delivering on promises.
She instructed TPCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud to create an aggressive action plan to push for a Caste Census campaign. She stated that this will be a major political agenda for the party, especially during the national executive meeting in Gujarat this April. Natarajan assured party members that she is open to discussions and encouraged them to bring up issues related to government schemes and political campaigns.
Natarajan highlighted two key challenges for the party: fighting against the BJP and BRS while also strengthening Congress at the grassroots level. She urged leaders to organize “Jai Bapu, Jai Bheem, Jai Samvidhan” programs in villages to build public support.
She also warned against self-promotion through large flex boards and banners. Instead, she asked leaders to focus on meaningful work that builds public trust. Additionally, she discouraged grand receptions during her visits, asking leaders to concentrate their efforts on party-building activities.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy stressed that performance would be the main factor in renewing government-nominated positions. He warned Corporation Chairmen and other nominated leaders that their terms would not be extended if they failed to deliver results. He assured that dedicated party workers would be recognized and rewarded appropriately.
Revanth Reddy acknowledged that while some leaders had already been given positions, others who had served the party for a long time were still waiting for their opportunities. He promised that their contributions would not be ignored and that the party would prioritize their interests.
The Chief Minister also urged leaders to maintain party discipline. He advised them to publicly highlight the party’s achievements while addressing internal issues privately. Additionally, he set a deadline of March 10 for the appointment of nominated posts at the district level and instructed in-charge ministers to speed up the process.
With a focus on discipline, accountability, and performance, the Telangana Congress leadership is signaling a new approach to strengthen the party and ensure effective governance.
