Congress Party Faces Internal Divisions in Wanaparthy
The Congress party is struggling with internal conflicts and a lack of unity among its members, raising concerns about potential long-term damage if these issues remain unresolved. This internal discord became evident during an event held at the Collector’s office in Wanaparthy district to honor freedom fighter Vadde Obanna on his birth anniversary.
The event saw two separate functions organized by local Congress leaders. MLA Thudi Mega Reddy and State Planning Commission Vice President Jillela Chinna Reddy each conducted their own ceremony, accompanied by their respective groups of supporters. This split highlighted the ongoing divisions within the party, undermining collective efforts to project unity.
During the event, MLA Thudi Mega Reddy praised Vadde Obanna for his significant contributions to India’s freedom struggle, calling his efforts “heroic.” Similarly, Jillela Chinna Reddy also acknowledged Obanna’s legacy, emphasizing its importance in today’s political and social landscape. The program was organized under the BC Welfare Department, which sought to celebrate the freedom fighter’s achievements.
However, party insiders expressed concerns over the lack of coordination among leaders. They warned that such disunity could weaken the Congress party’s ability to face upcoming electoral challenges effectively. Many believe that resolving these internal divisions is essential for the party to move forward and achieve its shared goals.
