Gajwel leaders demand removal from DCC chief position
GAJWEL, July 7: The Congress party leaders and workers from Gajwel, led by Siddipet district Congress president and former MLA Tummala Narsa Reddy, staged a protest in front of Gandhi Bhavan in Hyderabad on Friday demanding the removal of DCC chief Gajwel MLA Tummala Narsa Reddy from his position. They expressed their dissatisfaction with the loss caused to the party due to Narsa Reddy’s association with the TRS chief and demanded his resignation. The protest was marked by slogans such as “Save Gajwel, Remove Narsa Reddy.”
The leaders and cardholders displayed placards urging the Congress party to protect its interests by removing Narsa Reddy from the DCC chief position. Subsequently, TPCC working president Mahesh Goud also strongly criticized Narsa Reddy during a late-night press conference. In this protest, representatives of the TPCC, including Bandaru Sreekanth Rao, Nayakudu Madadi Rangareddy, Tigul Sarpanch K. Bhanu Prakash Rao, Mahipal Reddy, Mamidal Srinivas, and former MP Venkat Reddy were present.
Narsa Reddy has been under fire for his alleged association with the ruling TRS party, which has reportedly led to a decline in support for the Congress party in Gajwel. The protesters demanded that Narsa Reddy be removed from his position to save the party’s reputation and regain the trust of the people. They believe that his actions have been detrimental to the Congress party’s prospects in the region.
The protest comes at a time when the Congress party is striving to strengthen its base and regain public support ahead of the upcoming elections. The dissatisfaction among Gajwel leaders and workers indicates a growing rift within the party, which could potentially impact its performance in the upcoming polls.
Narsa Reddy, on the other hand, maintains that he is committed to the Congress party and its ideology. He refutes the allegations of his association with the TRS party and asserts that he will continue to serve as the DCC chief of Gajwel. However, with the mounting pressure from within his own party, it remains to be seen how this situation will unfold and whether Narsa Reddy will be able to retain his position.
The Congress party leadership is now faced with the challenge of addressing the demands of its dissatisfied leaders and workers in Gajwel. The decision they make regarding Narsa Reddy’s position will have significant implications for the party’s future in the region. As the political landscape continues to evolve, all eyes are on Gajwel to see how this protest and its aftermath will shape the Congress party’s prospects in the coming months.
