Hyderabad: The BRS working president, KT Rama Rao, expressed his views on the audit reports presented in the Assembly. He called these reports “white papers” and emphasized their importance. Rama Rao had an informal interaction with the media at the Legislature Party office. He responded to Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s request for white papers on state finances, stating that the audit reports released by the government are already serving that purpose. He questioned why Congress leaders do not read these reports.
Rama Rao further questioned whether Congress leaders made promises without considering the state finances. He highlighted the importance of discipline and stated that loans would not be necessary if there was discipline. He mentioned Rahul Gandhi’s promise of implementing loan waivers within 24 hours of coming into power and questioned why this promise was not fulfilled. Rama Rao also brought up the Congress leaders’ guarantees and their promise of providing Rs 15,000 Rythu Bharosa within ten days after coming into power, which is yet to be fulfilled.
The BRS leader cited an example of a Congress leader in Chennur who promised to provide employment to 45,000 people. He stated that this promise seems unrealistic and mentioned having videos to support this claim. Rama Rao emphasized that they are aware of the financial situation and the challenges they faced in implementing the loan waiver scheme. He stated that it is common practice for anyone to inquire about the financial situation before coming into power, unlike Congress leaders who are asking about it now.
Rama Rao concluded by mentioning how Congress leaders questioned the unemployment situation in Palakurthy and promised employment opportunities. He suggested waiting and seeing if they fulfill these promises.
