The Congress party in Hyderabad criticized the ‘Sweda Patra’ released by BRS working president KT Rama Rao, calling it weak and worthless. They also disputed the claim made by BRS leadership that they created wealth worth Rs 50 lakh crores, accusing them of shamelessly declaring their rule as a golden age despite their defeat.
Congress leader G Niranjan pointed out that the arrogant words spoken during Sunday’s presentation showed that the egoism and arrogance of BRS leadership have not diminished. He mentioned the long battle fought by Congress leaders for Telangana, convincing Sonia Gandhi and passing the Telangana Bill in Parliament. However, KTR claimed that KCR was the leader responsible for bringing Telangana into existence, which Niranjan saw as evidence of KTR’s madness.
Niranjan criticized KCR for leading an autocratic rule with nepotism and corruption, going against the hopes of the people who gave him power. He accused KCR of damaging democracy in Telangana and continuing a monarchical rule, despite the struggles and sacrifices made to achieve Telangana. Niranjan questioned why no corrective action was taken by the previous government when issues like the Pillar episode arose.
Niranjan stated that the people voted for the Congress with the clear intention of permanently stopping the arrogance, tyranny, and predatory rule of KCR and KTR. He warned that KTR is daydreaming without remorse for their wrongdoings and will face more consequences in the future.
