Congress senior leader Mohammed Ali Shabbir strongly criticized the State Government’s decision to ban media, student unions, and NGOs from entering government schools in Hyderabad. This move seems to be an attempt to hide the poor condition of these schools after the heavy rains. Shabbir Ali highlighted the neglect that government schools have endured under the BRS government, with many buildings left in a dilapidated state without repairs for years. He also pointed out that no comprehensive survey has ever been conducted to assess the condition of these structures. The recent heavy rains have worsened the situation, causing water to seep through the roofs and posing a serious threat to students’ safety. Shabbir Ali expressed his concern and accused the Education Department of trying to cover up their mistakes instead of addressing the important issues and identifying the system’s flaws.
