Senior Congress leader Kota Neelima has criticized BRS chief K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) for staying away from the Telangana Assembly for over a year. She accused him of isolating himself at his farmhouse instead of engaging with the public who elected him.
Neelima took to her social media account on X (formerly Twitter) to question KCR’s absence from important discussions. She pointed out that the Telangana Budget for 2025 was not debated in the Assembly, despite Chief Minister Revanth Reddy being open to suggestions.
She also criticized KCR for skipping the inauguration of the Telangana Thalli statue at the Secretariat. Minister Ponnam Prabhakar had invited him to the event, and Neelima called his absence an insult to both the people of Telangana and the state’s rich history.
Additionally, she condemned KCR for not attending a special Assembly session held in honor of former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh. She questioned whether this was the way to treat a respected national leader, emphasizing the importance of recognizing key figures in Indian politics.
