In Hyderabad, the Congress party is calling for a special session of the Assembly to pass a censure motion against Chief Minister KCR, Minister KTR, and Minister Harish Rao following revelations about phone tapping by former Task Force DCP Radhakishan Rao. The party wants steps taken to remove their membership from the Legislative Assembly. PCC senior vice president G Niranjan highlighted similarities between the BRS government and the BJP in misusing police and intelligence agencies.

The Congress leader also called for discussing the report in a special Assembly meeting. Meanwhile, Achampet MLA Dr C Vamshi Krishna lodged a complaint with the DGP and Hyderabad Police commissioner, claiming his phone was tapped between 2018 and 2023. He requested a thorough investigation into the matter, including questioning ministers, police officers, and other relevant parties.
