The Congress party has once again criticized the government for not restoring the membership of former party chief Rahul Gandhi. The Supreme Court had stayed his conviction, but his position as a Member of Parliament has not been reinstated yet. Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh questioned whether Prime Minister Narendra Modi is afraid of Rahul Gandhi’s participation in the no confidence motion.

Ramesh tweeted that 26 hours have passed since the Supreme Court’s decision to stay Rahul Gandhi’s unjustified conviction, but his position as an MP has not been restored. He asked why the Prime Minister is hesitant to allow Rahul Gandhi’s participation in the No Confidence Motion.
