Tension at BJP State Office as Youth Congress Protest Turns Violent

Hyderabad witnessed a tense situation on Tuesday in front of the BJP State office after a protest by Youth Congress workers escalated into violence. A clash between the workers of both parties resulted in a BJP worker sustaining a head injury.

The protest was organized by Youth Congress workers against alleged remarks made by BJP MP Ramesh Bidhuri targeting Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi. Although the police managed to stop the protesters from laying siege to the office, some activists managed to evade the security barriers. They attempted to storm the BJP office, leading to a clash with BJP workers.

During the confrontation, Congress workers reportedly threw eggs at BJP workers. In response, the BJP workers came out wielding sticks. Amid the chaos, a Dalit Morcha worker from the BJP suffered a head injury. Following the incident, the BJP blamed the police for failing to control the situation, while the police detained several activists and registered cases against them.

The protest by the Youth Congress was carried out without approval from the senior leadership of the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC). The incident drew criticism for the way it was handled by Youth Congress leaders. PCC president B. Mahesh Kumar Goud issued a warning to the party’s youth wing, advising them against such actions in the future.
