The fight for supremacy in the three Lok Sabha seats in Hyderabad has intensified between the Congress and BJP. The Congress is working hard to secure its position in the Chevella, Secunderabad, and Malkajgiri constituencies for the upcoming 2024 elections.

The Congress party is making efforts to bring in senior BRS leader K Keshav Rao and his daughter Gadwal Vijayalakshmi, who is also the Mayor of GHMC, along with several corporators into the party. There were direct discussions held between TPCC in-charge Deepa Dasmunshi, advisor to Revanth Reddy Vem Prashanth Reddy, Keshav Rao, and his daughter.

Speculations suggest that Keshav Rao and Vijayalakshmi may soon join the Congress party. The GHMC Mayor seems inclined to support the victory of Congress candidate Danam Nagendar in the Secunderabad Lok Sabha segment, while corporators are expected to work for other Congress candidates in Chevella and Malkajgiri segments.

The Congress believes that by recruiting important BRS leaders and corporators, their chances of winning against strong BJP candidates in these constituencies will improve. In the next phase, the Congress aims to bring in BRS Rajendra Nagar MLA Prakash Goud and others to strengthen their position before the LS elections.
