Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao responded to allegations by former CM K Chandrashekar Rao about water shortages in the State. He blamed the dry spell and previous government policies for the current situation.
The PCC working president, B Mahesh Kumar Goud, questioned KCR’s sincerity in addressing farmers’ issues. He accused KCR of shedding crocodile tears and criticized his handling of natural calamities.
G Niranjan, PCC senior Vice-President, accused KCR of trying to distract people from his legal troubles by provoking farmers. He claimed that people no longer trust KCR’s administration and believe the delay in farmer loan waivers is due to empty coffers.
The Congress leader assured that the party would mobilize resources to provide benefits to farmers. He stated that the state government has taken steps to ensure a smooth supply of electricity, water, and irrigation.
