    A two-day conference called “Dakshin Bharat Utsav 2024” will be organized by the Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FKCCI) in collaboration with the Karnataka Tourism Department in Bengaluru. The event aims to boost tourism by showcasing the potential of Southern Indian states and highlighting investment opportunities and employment generation. It will take place on June 15 and 16 at Princess Shrine, Palace Grounds, Bengaluru.

    The program includes various activities such as the Tourism Investors Meet, an exhibition featuring the culture, cuisine, and tourism offerings of the Southern States, conferences, and networking opportunities through B2B and B2G interactions. A roadshow was held in Hyderabad to promote South India as a tourism destination and invite MSMEs to invest in the sector. The goal is to create employment opportunities and position South India as a leading global tourism destination.

    Karnataka Tourism department director Ram Prasath Manohar emphasized the importance of unity and cooperation among the southern states. He mentioned exploring opportunities for destination weddings, medical tourism, education, and more. The Karnataka government is willing to assist investors in acquiring land with available land banks in key locations. Participants in the event include Chief coordinator GK Shetty, Telangana Hotels Association president S Venkat Reddy, FKCCI president J Ramesh Chandra Lahoti, vice president Uma Reddy, past president K Shiva Shanmugam, and TSTDC general manager Anji Reddy.
