The fourth edition of the Assistive Technology Summit 4.0 (ATS 4.0) concluded on Thursday in Hyderabad. The summit focused on the role of innovation in inclusion and brought together various stakeholders from national institutions, non-profits, and the public sector to create a sectoral ecosystem.
During the summit, T Ravi Kiran showcased his innovation called ‘Navinaut’, which was identified through TSIC’s Intinta Innovator programme. The device was presented to Uday, a visually impaired professional at Youth4Jobs, highlighting the positive impact of assistive technology on people’s lives. T Ravi Kiran expressed satisfaction that the product is manufactured in Telangana at T-Works.
Jayesh Ranjan, Principal Secretary, ITE and C, expressed his excitement about the success of the summit and its contribution to essential conversations for the 1.3 billion individuals with disabilities. He emphasized the focus on scaling innovations and deploying startups to enhance their well-being. Dr. Shanta Thoutam, CIO, stated that ATS 4.0 embodies the vision and insights into the role of innovation in shaping an inclusive society and improving the quality of life for individuals with special needs.
