A private clinic in Ibrahimpatnam mandal in Ranga Reddy district was raided by authorities from the Drugs Control Administration Ranga Reddy Zone. They found a person running the clinic illegally without the necessary qualifications and approvals. The officials discovered unauthorized medicines being stored for sale. The clinic owner, K Hanumantha Rao, was found to be operating without the required qualifications. During the raid, at least 87 varieties of medicines worth Rs.50,000 were confiscated, including antibiotics and painkillers. Antibiotic injections were also seized. Selling antibiotics without proper qualifications can cause serious health complications and antimicrobial resistance. The DCA officials collected samples of the medicines for further analysis.

The raiding team consisted of assistant director DCA RR zone Anjum Abida and drug inspectors V Ravi Kumar, J Naga Raju, and L Raji. People in the district are concerned about the number of unqualified individuals operating as quacks without proper approvals. They believe more raids should be conducted by the DCA to address this issue. Social activists have also raised concerns about hospitals operating without qualified staff and approvals. They are urging the Health department and Vigilance authorities to take action against such practices. Additionally, there is growing concern about teenagers using narcotics, which can lead to criminal activities. The police should monitor the use of these substances.
