Mana Yatri, a new ride-hailing app, has been launched in Hyderabad offering car and auto rides to commuters for zero commission. The app, developed by Juspay Technologies and included in the ONDC network, is similar to Bengaluru’s ‘Namma Yatri’.

The government of Telangana and T-Hub played a key role in the app’s launch. The app provides drivers with competitive rates and is 20 to 30 percent cheaper than its competitors. Shan M S, chief growth officer at Juspay, announced that 25,000 cab and autorickshaw drivers have already joined the platform and they aim to onboard at least one lakh drivers in the next three months.

According to Shireesh Joshi, chief business officer of ONDC, various apps in the network will now compete for rides based on the offer for both passengers and drivers. Namma Yatri in Bengaluru has seen success with over 100,000 riders and is expanding to more cities. Mana Yatri has recorded 20,000 rides and has attracted 65,000 users in Hyderabad. The subscription fee for Mana Yatri is Rs 25 per day and they do not charge a commission on each ride.
