Gavinolla Madhusudan Reddy’s Journey from Advocate to MLA
Gavinolla Madhusudan Reddy, also known as GMR, has won the trust of the people and defeated the strong BRS candidate, Ala Venkateshwar Reddy, in the recent Assembly elections. He is now the MLA of Devarkadra and is working hard to improve the constituency in every way.
Reddy was born on May 4, 1971, in Dhamangapur village, Mahabubnagar district. His father, Krishna Reddy, taught him the importance of serving society. After finishing school in his village, Reddy went to Hyderabad for higher education. He earned a BA and LLB from Padala Ram Reddy College and graduated in 1998. He then became a successful advocate in the Hyderabad High Court until 2018.
In 2015, Reddy started the GMR Seva Samithi to help the poor and needy in Devarkadra and other parts of Mahabubnagar district. His desire to help more people led him to join the Indian National Congress in 2018.
Reddy’s political career grew quickly. By 2022, he became the District Congress Committee (DCC) president of Mahabubnagar district. His hard work to solve local issues made him well-known and supported by many. This led to his candidacy in the 2023 General Assembly elections, where he faced the current BRS MLA Ala Venkateshwar Reddy.
The election was tough, but Reddy focused on pointing out the problems and corruption of his opponent. His dedication and smart campaigning led to his victory by a small margin of 1,392 votes, making it the first Congress win in Devarkadra in ten years.
As an MLA, Reddy is working hard to develop Devarkadra with the help of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. He focuses on important issues like irrigation, agriculture, industry, education, and social welfare. His leadership goes beyond party politics, aiming for the well-being and progress of his area.
Reddy’s journey from a lawyer to a legislative leader shows his strong commitment to public service. His story is about hard work, resilience, and a deep desire to improve the lives of the people he represents. As he continues to lead with honesty and vision, Reddy remains a symbol of hope and progress for Devarkadra.
