Nalgonda: District Collector C Narayana Reddy is working hard to improve government schools in the district. He believes that quality education can change lives, especially for students in rural areas. Having studied in a government school himself, the Collector has a personal connection to these institutions and understands how important they are in shaping the future of society.
On September 24, the Collector made a surprise visit to the government town residential school in Boyawada. During his visit, he found many issues affecting the students. The school had peeling paint, exposed wires, dirty toilets, broken classroom equipment, and poor-quality meals. Concerned about the students’ conditions, the Collector immediately ordered repairs and improvements. He instructed his staff to fix all the problems, install new lights and fans, apply fresh paint, and provide uniforms, books, and blankets for the students. He also stressed the importance of providing nutritious meals and warned that strict action would be taken if the changes were not made quickly.
On Saturday, the Collector returned to the school and saw a huge improvement. The classrooms were repaired, the toilets were clean, and the kitchen had been upgraded. The students were very thankful and said the meals and facilities had improved a lot.
Even though the school had improved, the Collector reminded everyone that any remaining repairs should be completed soon.
He was joined by District Education Officer Bikshapathi and other officials, who supported his continuous efforts to make government schools better across the district.
