District Collector RV Karnan and Peddapally District Collector Muzammil Khan attended an event in Godavarikhani, Peddapalli district on Saturday. The event was to inaugurate a Madras Premium Coffee Shop set up by a Dalit Bandhu beneficiary named Dara Srujana.
During the event, Karnan mentioned that the Dalit Bhandu scheme introduced by the State government has had a positive impact on the lives of Dalits. He stated that the scheme was designed by Chief Minister KCR with the goal of improving the financial situation of Dalits and helping them become entrepreneurs.
Dara Srujana, who has previously benefited from the scheme, started one Madras Premium Coffee shop and due to its success, she opened another shop and provided employment to two others. Karnan highlighted that Srujana’s success is an example of how the Dalit Bhandu scheme can help Dalits become financially independent. Srujana’s husband, Srinivas, who is a MBA graduate, also expressed that the scheme has greatly improved the economic conditions of those with low incomes.
The event was attended by SC Corporation ED Nagarjuna, Nehru Youth Centre coordinator Rambabu, and members of Srujana’s family.
