District Collector Urges Public to Utilize Welfare Schemes
Gadwal: District Collector B.M. Santosh has urged all eligible individuals to actively participate in village and ward assemblies to benefit from government welfare schemes. He made this appeal during a public governance ward assembly held in Ward 27 of Gadwal Municipality on Wednesday, alongside local MLA Bandla Krishna Mohan Reddy.
The Collector announced that key schemes like Rythu Bharosa, Indiramma Illu, Ration Cards, and Indiramma Atmiya Bharosa would be implemented starting January 26. He revealed that 84 village assemblies have already been conducted across the district, with ward assemblies currently underway. For this session, Wards 27, 36, and 24 were combined into a single assembly.
Details of Welfare Schemes
The Collector highlighted the importance of these assemblies in verifying eligibility and accessing the schemes. Under the Rythu Bharosa scheme, every farmer cultivating crops would receive ₹12,000 per acre in financial assistance. For landless agricultural labor families, the Indiramma Atmiya Bharosa scheme would provide ₹6,000 in two installments, totaling ₹12,000 annually.
Regarding ration cards, the Collector explained that no new cards had been issued since 2018, and family members had not been added or removed from the list. The government is now prioritizing issuing new ration cards to eligible individuals based on socio-economic surveys, Mee Seva applications, and applications submitted during village and ward assemblies. He assured transparency in the review process and emphasized that all eligible individuals would receive ration cards.
Indiramma Illu and Application Process
For the Indiramma Illu housing scheme, ₹5 lakh would be sanctioned to eligible beneficiaries, identified through surveys. To maintain transparency, the names of beneficiaries will be publicly announced during assemblies. The Collector encouraged those who haven’t applied or whose names are missing from the list to submit their applications without any worry or confusion.
Applications can be submitted during ward assemblies or at municipal public governance service centers at any time. The Collector reassured that each application would be thoroughly reviewed, ensuring that all eligible individuals benefit from these welfare initiatives.
MLA Highlights Importance of Assemblies
MLA Bandla Krishna Mohan Reddy emphasized the role of welfare schemes in improving the lives of the people. He praised village and ward assemblies for helping officials understand public issues better. He reassured individuals that if their names were missing from the beneficiary list, they could reapply during these assemblies. He also encouraged people to approach officials with any concerns, reiterating the government’s commitment to serving every eligible person.
The MLA further announced that double-bedroom houses, allocated through the earlier government’s DIP process, would be distributed to beneficiaries in February.
