    District Collector Ila Tripathi recently visited Anganwadi centers in the Govinda Raopeta mandal of Mulugu district. During her visit, she inspected the surroundings and kitchen room of the centers. Tripathi also interacted with the children and spent time with them.

    Tripathi emphasized the importance of a balanced diet for all children, mothers, and infants. She stressed the need to raise awareness about the significance of mother’s milk and advised pregnant and lactating women to maintain a balanced diet. Tripathi suggested conducting a growth monitoring drive in all Anganwadi centers to measure the height and weight of children. The growth details should be updated in Poshan Track. Additionally, counseling sessions should be held for mothers of underweight children.

    The District Collector announced that Anganwadi centers would provide 3.5 kg of Kishoramrit to registered Kishora girls. Kishoramritham is beneficial for providing extra energy, compensating for micronutrient deficiencies, preventing anemia, and maintaining the health and nourishment of Kishori girls. Tripathi recommended consuming 10 spoons (140 grams) of Kishoramritham daily along with a nutrient-rich diet for a strong body and brain.
