District Collector Emphasizes Transparent Survey for Welfare Schemes
Karimnagar: District Collector Pamela Satpathy has stressed the importance of completing the field-level survey for four welfare schemes, set to launch on January 26, in a transparent and efficient manner.
On Wednesday, the Collector conducted a teleconference with district officials to discuss the implementation of these schemes. She explained that the state government has issued guidelines for Rythu Bharosa, Indiramma Atmiya Bharosa, issuance of new ration cards, and Indiramma houses.
Officials were instructed to thoroughly understand the schemes and reassure the public that selecting beneficiaries is an ongoing process. The Collector emphasized that all eligible individuals should receive the benefits they are entitled to.
Under the Rythu Bharosa scheme, eligible farmers will receive Rs 12,000 per acre annually. Officials were directed to identify non-cultivable and arable lands through field inspections conducted by Revenue Inspectors (RI) and Agriculture Extension Officers (AEO). Reports should be prepared in a specific format and handed over to field officers. The survey is to begin on Thursday and be completed by January 20.
From January 21, preparations should be made to conduct Gram Sabhas (village meetings) and Municipal Ward meetings. Officials, along with village secretaries and department representatives, must attend these meetings. The Collector instructed that the meetings follow strict procedures and be recorded through videography.
For the Indiramma Atmiya Bharosa scheme, individuals with job cards under the employment guarantee program, who have worked for at least 20 days in the last year and do not own land, will be eligible. Job cards must not show any land ownership.
Regarding the issuance of new ration cards, the responsibility lies with MPDOs and Municipal Commissioners at the mandal level, and the Additional Collector and District Civil Supplies Officer at the district level. The selection of eligible beneficiaries must adhere to government guidelines.
The teleconference was attended by Additional Collectors Praful Desai and Lakshmi Kiran, RDOs Maheshwar and Ramesh, along with Municipal Revenue Officers, MPDOs, and other district officials.
