    Gadwal: District Collector B. M. Santosh has instructed officials to speed up the completion of pending work at rehabilitation centers in the district.

    On Friday, the Collector held a review meeting with officials at the IDOC Conference Hall. The meeting focused on the progress of rehabilitation efforts for displaced families. The Collector stressed the importance of completing the arrangements at the rehabilitation centers as soon as possible. He specifically directed officials to relocate displaced families from the villages of Chinnonipalli and Nagar Doddi to the R&R (Resettlement and Rehabilitation) centers without any delays.

    The Collector also instructed the officials to provide lands to the affected families. He emphasized the need for basic infrastructure such as plots, buildings, roads, drinking water, electricity, and even labor and shifting charges for the families. Additionally, he highlighted the importance of finishing pending works like land acquisition and constructing compound walls in Aluru village of Gattu Mandal, under the Nettempadu project.

    In Chinnonipalli village, the Collector urged officials to quickly complete work on the Anganwadi center, primary school, and electricity. He also asked for the immediate completion of all pending tasks in Rayalampadu village.

    Regarding the Jurala project, the Collector focused on the pending works in Nagar Doddi village of Dharur Mandal. He asked officials to complete the necessary infrastructure, including electricity, internal roads, a village panchayat, and a primary school. He also directed the Tahsildars to conduct field visits and monitor the progress of these works. Any remaining work in Revulapalli, Garlapadu, and Upper villages should also be completed without further delay.

    The meeting was attended by Additional Collector Srinivasa Rao, RDO Ramachander, Irrigation Engineer Rahimuddin, Mission Bhagiratha Executive Engineer Sridhar Reddy, Grid Executive Engineer Parameshwari, Tahsildar Saritharani, Deputy Tahsildar Mangamma, and other officials.
