District Collector Abhilasha Abhinav assured that the victims of the fire accident in Rayadari village of Pembi mandal will receive full support. On Thursday, she visited the affected families along with other officials.
The Collector inspected the damaged houses and spoke to the victims. She expressed her sorrow over the unfortunate incident and assured the families that they would receive help in every possible way.
In total, eight houses were completely destroyed in the fire. To provide immediate relief, the Collector announced that Rs 1 lakh would be deposited in the victims’ accounts by Saturday. She also distributed essential commodities and clothes to the affected families.
The Collector instructed officials to ensure that the victims receive food and temporary shelter until their situation improves. She also asked the victims to submit their details to the authorities for new houses. Proposals for new houses have already been sent to the government for approval.
Additionally, she directed officials to clear the fire debris as soon as possible. She reassured the victims that the district administration would stand by them and provide all necessary support. Later, she had lunch with the fire victims at the village government school.
Several officials, including Additional Collector (Revenue) Kishore Kumar, Mandal Special Officer Narasimha Reddy, DSO Kiran Kumar, Tehsildar Laxman, MPDO Ramakanth, along with other staff and villagers, were present during the visit.
