Temperatures are dropping across the Telugu states, and people are preparing for an unusually cold season. Early mornings have become quite chilly, especially in the Alluri Sitarama Raju district, where temperatures have fallen to very low levels.

Today, the Paderu agency recorded a freezing 9 degrees Celsius, marking the first time this winter that the temperature has dropped to single digits. Other nearby areas, like Munchingiputtu and Minumuluru, experienced similar cold conditions. Paderu itself recorded a slightly warmer temperature of 12 degrees Celsius.

The cold wave has been so severe that local residents are lighting fires to stay warm as temperatures keep falling. There are growing concerns that the cold may worsen, especially in areas close to the border between Andhra Pradesh and Odisha.

Despite the cold, tourists are flocking to the hilltop areas, drawn by the beautiful sunrises and scenic views. Places like Paderu and Vanjangi are seeing an influx of visitors who want to catch the stunning sights of clouds and hills. Araku, another popular tourist spot, is also seeing more visitors during this cold spell.

The cold weather is not limited to these agency areas. In Telangana, the intensity of the cold is also increasing. In Hyderabad, temperatures have dropped further compared to yesterday, making the cold more intense for residents.

As winter continues, both locals and tourists are advised to prepare for even colder days ahead.
