The Chief Minister of Hyderabad, A Revanth Reddy, has clarified that there are no plans to scrap projects like the Metro rail to the airport or the Pharma City, despite rumors from some political parties. He stated that the government is only streamlining these projects for the benefit of the people.

Revanth Reddy mentioned that the government aims to reduce travel time to the airport by extending the Metro rail from MGBS station to Shamshabad airport. The Metro services will also be linked to the airport from Nagole to LB Nagar, Owaisi Hospital, and Chandrayangutta. If necessary, the Metro will be extended from Miyapur to Ramachandrapuram. The distance between BHEL and the airport will be approximately 32 kilometers.

Additionally, if there is a need, the Metro will be extended to the Financial District from Mindspace. However, it is expected that only a small number of people will travel from Gachibowli to the airport. The proposed Metro Rail route will be shorter than the one proposed by the previous government.

Revanth Reddy also confirmed that the Pharma City project will not be scrapped. The state government plans to establish clusters with zero pollution between the Ring Road and the Regional Ring Road. These clusters will have residential areas for workers to minimize their need to commute to Hyderabad.

Regarding skill development, special universities will be set up to train youth in skills required by the industry. The government will consult renowned industrialists to ensure international standards are met. This initiative aims to increase employment opportunities for the youth.

The Chief Minister emphasized that the government has already decentralized administration by assigning district responsibilities to Ministers. For every 100-bed hospital, there will be a nursing college.

In terms of nomination posts, loyal leaders who have worked hard for the party will be given priority. The selection process will not be based on personal connections. The Chief Minister also addressed the concerns of journalists, promising to resolve their issues within the next 100 days. The government plans to appoint a chairman for the Press Academy to address these matters.

Revanth Reddy stated that the government aims for efficient systems and has appointed new police commissioners to ensure law and order and combat drug issues. He reiterated the government’s commitment to reforms and streamlining the system.
