Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy visited the area near the Lake View Guest House to inspect ongoing rainwater sump construction. These works aim to prevent flooding in the city during heavy rains.
During the inspection, the Chief Minister shared ideas with officials on how to improve flood prevention measures. He emphasized that diverting floodwater could also help reduce traffic jams in the city, making travel smoother for residents.
Revanth Reddy directed the officials to complete all flood prevention projects before the next monsoon season. He also suggested redesigning the rainwater sumps for better efficiency. These sump works are part of a larger initiative involving 141 projects to address waterlogging issues in various parts of Hyderabad.
Several key officials accompanied the Chief Minister during the visit, including Minister Ponnam Prabhakar, Khairatabad MLA Danam Nagender, Municipal Department Principal Secretary Dana Kishore, GHMC Commissioner Ilambarithi, and the CM’s Special Secretary Ajith Reddy.
