Telangana CM Revanth Reddy Assures Support for Madiga Community
Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has promised that his government is committed to the welfare of the Madiga and Madiga sub-castes. He emphasized that this commitment goes beyond politics and that the process of Scheduled Caste (SC) sub-categorization is being handled legally to avoid any legal issues.
During a meeting with Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi (MRPS) founder-president Manda Krishna and other Madiga community representatives, the Chief Minister explained the steps taken by his government. He said the issue was first discussed in the Assembly. Then, a Cabinet sub-committee and a legal commission were formed to study the matter. He assured that the reports from these bodies would be completed quickly, and their recommendations would be approved by the Cabinet and later by the Assembly.
Manda Krishna appreciated CM Revanth Reddy’s efforts. He acknowledged that the Chief Minister had kept his promise regarding SC sub-categorization. He also expressed his support for the government’s initiative, saying that he stands by the Chief Minister like a brother in this cause.
The Chief Minister further instructed that any concerns or objections regarding the sub-categorization process should be brought to the attention of the Cabinet sub-committee and the commission for review.
The meeting was attended by Ministers Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, Government Advisor K. Kesava Rao, CM’s Advisor Vem Narender Reddy, and several public representatives and leaders from the Madiga community.
