Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has announced that the government is ready to set up a committee to address concerns related to the Musi Riverfront Development Project. This committee will have members from the ruling party as well as opposition parties like the BRS and BJP. The goal is to find ways to help the people displaced by the project. Reddy also invited BJP leader Eatala Rajender and BRS leaders KT Rama Rao and T Harish Rao for discussions at the Secretariat to resolve issues related to the project.

The Chief Minister criticized former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao and KT Rama Rao, accusing them of staying in their farmhouses and ignoring the needs of the poor who live in slums. He sarcastically suggested that if KCR and KTR truly cared about the poor, they should donate some of their land to help displaced people.

Reddy made these comments while speaking at an event celebrating the 95th birth anniversary of Congress leader G Venkataswamy, also known as Kaka. He said the government is open to suggestions from the opposition but accused them of acting like a “Kalakeya gang,” implying that they were obstructing the government’s efforts to help the poor.
