Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy made history by becoming the first Chief Minister to visit Hussain Sagar during the immersion of the Bada Ganesh idol. No chief minister, including those from undivided Andhra Pradesh or former Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, had previously attended this event.

After attending the Praja Palana Dinotsavam at Public Gardens, Revanth Reddy went to Hussain Sagar, specifically near crane number 4, where the Bada Ganesh idol was set to be immersed. He personally supervised the arrangements for the event and interacted with the devotees who had gathered there. He also asked them for feedback on the immersion arrangements.

The Chief Minister gave clear instructions to ensure the smooth conduct of the Ganesh idol immersion. He advised crane operators to work in shifts to avoid stress and prevent accidents during the immersion process. Revanth Reddy also checked with the GHMC authorities and senior police officials about the preparations for cleaning the lake. He instructed them to ensure police presence until the end of the immersion procession for safety.
