The I.N.D.I.A alliance has called for a nationwide bandh to protest the suspension of MPs from Parliament. This comes after some people caused chaos in the Lok Sabha gallery by throwing a smoke bomb. Opposition MPs who demanded a statement from Union Home Minister Amit Shah about the security failure were suspended from both Houses. The opposition claims that these miscreants were able to enter the Lok Sabha with the help of a BJP MP’s recommendation.

This suspension is unprecedented, as 146 MPs have been thrown out simultaneously. In response, the Congress alliance has organized a nationwide bandh to express their protest. Protests have already begun in all states.
