Chief Minister Revanth Reddy Speaks on Allu Arjun's Arrest and Stampede Incident
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has commented on the recent uproar regarding the arrest of film actor Allu Arjun. He stated that Allu Arjun is an actor who works in films, earns his livelihood, and goes home, emphasizing that filmmaking is a business. “Did he fight for the country at the India-Pakistan border?” the CM questioned, expressing surprise over why the arrest of the actor was being treated as such a significant issue.
In an interview with a national TV news channel, Revanth Reddy pointed out that the more pressing matter was being overlooked—the plight of the family members of a woman who lost her life in a stampede during the premiere show of the much-anticipated movie Pushpa-2 in Hyderabad. He called it unfortunate that this tragic incident was not receiving the attention it deserved.
The Chief Minister shared that he used to be a big fan of superstar Krishna in the past. However, he added that he is no longer a fan of any film hero, humorously remarking that he considers himself a big star now.
On the topic of Allu Arjun’s legal case, Revanth Reddy clarified that the law would take its own course. Speaking to the media during his Delhi tour, he reiterated that everyone is equal before the law. “I will not interfere in this. The legal process will be followed,” he said. Referring to the stampede that led to the death of one individual, he explained that the police are taking appropriate action. He also mentioned that there were court orders related to actor Mohan Babu in a similar context.
