Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao (KTR) on Friday accused Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy of forming a six-member team to blackmail companies and engage in land grabbing activities in Telangana.
Speaking to reporters during the Rythu Deeksha program at Shahbad in the Chevella Assembly constituency, KTR alleged that this group included Tirupathi Reddy, Kondal Reddy, Vem Narender Reddy, Rohin Reddy, Fahim Qureshi, and AV Reddy. He referred to the group as “Ali Baba and a half-dozen gang of thieves,” accusing them of threatening companies, extorting money, and being involved in illegal land deals.
KTR further claimed that the Congress party was creating unnecessary issues to divert attention from their alleged activities. Responding to questions, he remarked that Revanth Reddy, who had previously praised Hedgewar, the founder of the RSS, was a true RSS supporter. KTR also pointed out that Revanth Reddy had worked with ABVP and the RSS printing press. He recalled a comment by Asaduddin Owaisi, who had once mentioned that Revanth Reddy wore RSS-style khaki shorts.
The BRS leader predicted that people would reject the Congress party in Delhi as well, accusing Congress of trying to defeat the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in the capital. He criticized Revanth Reddy for attacking AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal, despite the fact that Congress and AAP were allies until recently. KTR concluded by calling Revanth Reddy an “opportunist and a fraud.”
