Hyderabad: Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao extended his greetings to the people on the occasion of the Bonalu festival, which marks the beginning of the Ashada month. He stated that the government is organizing the Bonalu festival as a state festival, in order to promote Telangana culture and give it a prominent place. He mentioned that women, with their devotion and faith, offer bonam (a ritualistic offering) to the goddess during Bonalu.
He also stated that the Bonalu festival stands as a symbol of the cultural and spiritual identity of Telangana. The Chief Minister wished that the blessings and light of the goddess be upon everyone during this auspicious occasion. He expressed his desire that the blessings and guidance of the goddess continue to shower upon the people of the state. He urged everyone to celebrate Bonalu with happiness and bring prosperity to Telangana and the nation as a whole.
