KTR Criticizes CM Revanth Reddy Over Land and Farmer Issues

BRS working president KT Rama Rao (KTR) has accused Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy of focusing more on real estate than the welfare of the state. Speaking at a farmers’ protest in Amangal on Tuesday, KTR claimed that before becoming Chief Minister, Revanth Reddy’s family owned 500 acres of land, but after taking office, their land holdings increased to 1,000 acres.

KTR visited Revanth Reddy’s mother-in-law’s village to check if any development had taken place under his leadership. He stated that when the BRS was in power, farmers lived like kings and did not have to take loans. He also mentioned that during the BRS government, farmers received financial support through the Rythu Bandhu scheme, with Rs 72,000 crore deposited into their accounts over 12 seasons. However, he alleged that under the current Congress government, farmers are not receiving any promised financial aid.

Criticizing the delay in implementing the Rythu Bharosa scheme, KTR pointed out that the Chief Minister had promised to start the scheme on Congress leader Sonia Gandhi’s birthday. However, two birthdays have passed, and despite visiting Delhi 35 times, Revanth Reddy has failed to secure funds for the state. KTR also claimed that 430 farmers have committed suicide under the Congress government due to its poor policies.

KTR further alleged that the Backward Classes (BCs) were deceived with false promises made in the BC declaration. He stated that people from all sections of society are frustrated with the government and some have even resorted to suicide. With local body elections approaching, KTR warned that the Congress government is trying to deceive farmers by making false promises about Rythu Bharosa. He claimed that the government owes farmers Rs 17,000 per acre and urged them to protest if Congress leaders visit their homes.

Concluding his speech, KTR called for Revanth Reddy’s downfall to begin from his mother-in-law’s village, Kalwakurthy. He encouraged people to stand against the Congress government and expose its failures.
