Congress candidate V. Narender Reddy has filed his nomination for the Karimnagar-Nizamabad-Adilabad-Medak Graduates constituency. However, on the last day of nominations, an independent candidate, N. Yadagiri Yadav from Patancheru, also submitted his nomination. It is alleged that he did so with the support of MLA G. Mahipal Reddy, raising concerns within the Congress party.

Sources say that Yadagiri Yadav, who is an advocate, is close to Mahipal Reddy’s brother, G. Madhusudhan Reddy. Now, he will be contesting against both the Congress candidate and BJP’s G. Anji Reddy. This internal division within Congress may ultimately benefit the BJP in the elections.

Meanwhile, Congress leaders in Karimnagar have shown strong support for their official candidate, Narender Reddy. Several senior leaders, including PCC President Mahesh Kumar Goud, Ministers Sridhar Babu, Ponnam Prabhakar, Uttam Kumar Reddy, Konda Surekha, as well as district MLAs, MLCs, and former ministers Shabbir Ali and Jeevan Reddy, participated in his nomination rally.
