Actor Chiranjeevi criticized some media organizations for wrongly reporting that he survived cancer, causing confusion and worry among his fans. On June 3, Chiranjeevi inaugurated a cancer center in Hyderabad and spoke about the importance of regular medical tests to detect and prevent cancer. He shared that he underwent a colonoscopy test and non-cancerous polyps were detected and removed. However, some media organizations misinterpreted his speech and reported that he had survived cancer after treatment. Chiranjeevi clarified on Twitter that he never claimed to have had cancer and urged journalists to understand the subject before reporting on it.

Chiranjeevi’s next film, Bhola Shankar, will be released on August 11. The film is a remake of the Tamil film Vedalam and stars Keerthy Suresh and Tamannaah alongside Chiranjeevi. Keerthy Suresh plays Chiranjeevi’s sister in the film, while Tamannaah is cast opposite him. The film will be an action entertainer with sister-sentiment. Meher Ramesh is directing Bhola Shankar after a gap of 10 years.
