Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy announced a new program to upgrade 65 ITIs as Advanced Technology Centres with the help of the Tata group. The cost of this initiative is Rs 2,324 crore. The foundation stone for the first Advanced Technology Centre (ATC) was laid at Mallepally in Hyderabad.
During the event, Revanth Reddy emphasized the importance of providing job opportunities to unemployed youth. He mentioned that government-owned ITIs have become unproductive and outdated skill development programs are not helping students find employment. The goal is to upgrade these ITIs to ATCs to address this issue.
Revanth Reddy expressed his commitment to the students and unemployed community, stating that his government aims to serve them rather than rule over them. He highlighted the need for technical skills to secure jobs and emphasized that certificates alone are not sufficient for improving living standards. He thanked the Tata management for their support in offering skill development training.
The Chief Minister outlined plans to closely monitor and review the performance of the ATCs every month. He encouraged both male and female students to join ITIs for skill development training, emphasizing the importance of technical skills in increasing job opportunities.
