The Chekumuki Science Festival, organized by the Jana Vignana Vedika (JVV) of Mulugu District, was celebrated with great enthusiasm on Thursday at the district headquarters.
JVV State Secretary Konda Chenchaiah attended the event as the chief guest, while the festival was inaugurated by Mulugu District Honorary President Kalakotla Naresh Reddy. Students from various mandals across the district actively took part in the festival.
During his speech, Chenchaiah highlighted that events like the Chekumuki Science Festival aim to inspire students to develop a scientific mindset. Several rounds of the Chekumuki Talent Test were conducted, and the top performers were selected to compete at the state level.
The schools qualifying for the state-level competition, to be held in Adilabad, include ZPHS Pasra Nagaram (ZPHS category), St. Mary’s School Pasra (private schools category), MJP Residential School Venkatapur (residential schools category), and ZPHS Nallagunta (Telugu medium category).
Dr. Varaprasad later distributed prizes to the winners. While addressing the audience, he emphasized the importance of fostering scientific awareness among students to build a brighter future.
