Former chief minister of Andhra Pradesh and TDP national president, Chandrababu Naidu, spoke at a seminar on ‘Deep Technologies’ organised by the Global Forum for Sustainable Transformation (GSFT) in Hyderabad. Naidu expressed his confidence that India will become the largest economy by 2047 and that the Indian community will not only be the richest but also wealth and job creators. He believes that India will dominate public governance and corporate governance globally. Naidu stated that nobody can beat India on information technology or digital technology, and the country is blessed with a demographic dividend.

To reach the target of emerging as a global leader in technology, Naidu feels that India needs to work seriously on demographic management. If India focuses on demographic management, then the country will emerge as the major supplier of food grains for the whole world besides becoming a manufacturing hub and a technology hub. However, Naidu appealed to the participants to ensure that they do not neglect the have-nots because the concentration of wealth is now in the hands of only a few, which is not good for the country or society.

Naidu recalled how he has rebuilt Hyderabad and successfully taken the city to a global level. He stated that all this is possible only because of proper utilisation of technology. Today, youth are driving start-ups and are providing leadership by bringing knowledge and technology together. Naidu is now designing P-4 to reach his goal, which stands for People, Public, Private and Partnership. He added that his earlier vision of P-3, which is Public, Private Partnership, has turned out to be a resounding success as almost all areas today have roads which are developed in this mode.

Naidu regretted that the present day politics is filled with people who do not have much knowledge of technology. Therefore, he believes that learned people should join politics to take the nation much ahead.
