The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) legislature party unanimously elected TDP Chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu as their leader and Chief Minister candidate in Amaravati on Tuesday. Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan proposed Chandrababu’s name, which was supported by BJP State president D Purandheswari.
Earlier, TDP Andhra Pradesh chief K Atchen Naidu announced that Chandrababu was unanimously chosen as the leader of the TDP legislature party. The resolution will be sent to the Governor by the MLAs.
Later, addressing TDP-JSP-BJP legislators, Chandrababu Naidu promised to develop Amaravati, Visakhapatnam, and Kurnool without bias. He emphasized on developing Visakhapatnam as an economic hub despite YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s offer to make it AP’s executive capital.
Chandrababu Naidu credited the landslide victory of NDA to the people of the State. He expressed gratitude to Jana Sena and BJP activists for their support and highlighted the unity among alliance partners during the campaign.
The TDP chief reflected on the historic victory in the 2024 elections, where NDA won 164 out of 175 seats. He praised Pawan Kalyan for his cooperation and highlighted the success in Kadapa where NDA won five out of seven seats.
Chandrababu Naidu recalled Pawan Kalyan’s support and the unity of the alliance partners during the election campaign. He mentioned upcoming swearing-in ceremony with PM Modi and assured impartial governance focused on the welfare of the people.
He emphasized on working with the union Government to complete projects like Polavaram and Amaravati and develop Vizag and Kurnool equally. Chandrababu Naidu pledged to transform Andhra Pradesh following Narendra Modi’s vision of ‘Vikasit Bharat’.
