Hyderabad has the lowest voter turnout in all elections, so chief electoral officer Vikas Raj is urging everyone to take responsibility for increasing the voting percentage in the district. Vikas Raj, along with GHMC commissioner Ronald Rose, Hyderabad Police commissioner K Srinivas Reddy, and district collector Anudeep Durishetty, flagged off a bike taxi rally at LB Stadium to raise awareness.
The CEO mentioned that voter awareness programs have been ongoing for the past few months to encourage more people to vote and protect democracy. He emphasized the importance of everyone working together to achieve a voting percentage of 60 to 65 in Hyderabad.
District election officer Ronald Rose stated that special efforts are being made to boost the voting percentage in the district. Women’s groups are actively visiting households to educate residents about their right to vote. People are urged to cooperate in increasing the voting percentage compared to the last elections.
Ronald Rose praised the organizers of Rapido polling stations, which provide transportation for voters. He requested similar facilities be available at all polling stations in the district. Necessary amenities like drinking water and medical camps have been arranged at polling stations to ensure a smooth voting experience for everyone.
