R&B Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy announced on Tuesday that all necessary permissions for the Regional Ring Road (RRR) project would be cleared by the central government within the next two months. He made this statement after meetings with Union Ministers Nitin Gadkari and Rammohan Naidu in Delhi regarding pending infrastructure projects.

During a media briefing, Komatireddy expressed confidence that the RRR project would move forward soon. He mentioned that Gadkari assured him that once all approvals were received, they would be presented to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The tendering process for the regional ring road, covering Sangareddy, Bhongir, and Chautuppal, has already been completed. Additionally, almost 95% of the required land has been acquired. The government has also sanctioned 12 railway overbridges (ROBs) worth ₹1,000 crore, and Gadkari has ordered the speedy completion of the six-lane Hyderabad-Vijayawada National Highway.

Regarding the Hyderabad to Machilipatnam road expansion, the Minister stated that Gadkari had instructed officials to divide the project into two parts. One section would cover Gudimalkapur to Vijayawada, while the other would extend from Vijayawada to Machilipatnam. Tenders would be invited separately for both sections to speed up the work.

During his discussion with Gadkari, Komatireddy stressed the need for Union Cabinet approval for the RRR project. He highlighted the importance of finalizing route alignments, obtaining forest clearances, and signing the Economic Tripartite Agreement to move the project forward.

The Minister also urged the central government to approve several key infrastructure projects. These include the construction of both the Northern and Southern parts of the RRR, the Srisailam Elevated Corridor (NH-765), five ropeway projects under the Parvat Mala scheme, 12 projects under the CRIF Setubandh scheme, and the expedited completion of the Hyderabad-Vijayawada six-lane and Hyderabad-Manneguda four-lane highways.

In his meeting with Union Civil Aviation Minister Rammohan Naidu, Komatireddy discussed aviation projects, particularly the completion of Mamunur Airport.

Naidu assured him that the India Meteorological Department (IMD) survey for Bhadradri Kothagudem Airport would be conducted soon. He also confirmed that feasibility studies for new airports in Jakranpally, Adilabad, Peddapalli, and Nizamabad would be initiated.
