    The State Day of Sikkim was celebrated at Telangana Raj Bhavan on Tuesday. Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision is to celebrate the formation days of different States in Raj Bhavans across the country. These celebrations promote the spirit of unity in diversity. Sikkim has a rich historic heritage and its people are nature-loving, she added.

    Sikkim is known as the Land of Rubber and represents the unique cultural identity of our country. Tamilisai lauded the democratic decision of the Sikkim people to merge with India. She also spoke about Sikkim’s rich ancient architectural marvels and remembered the services of late V Rama Rao, who belonged to Telangana, as the Governor of Sikkim.

    People from different walks of life belonging to Sikkim shared their views and took part in the celebrations at the Raj Bhavan.
