The 128th birth anniversary of Telangana armed fighter Chakali Ilamma was celebrated at GHMC headquarters on Tuesday. Ilamma was known for fighting for the rights of the oppressed and is considered one of the region’s greatest leaders. GHMC Commissioner Ronald Rose and other officials paid their respects to Ilamma.
The State government organizes programs every year to honor Ilamma’s sacrifices. These programs also aim to develop women, BC, and MBC communities through various welfare schemes. Commissioner Ronald Rose stated that Ilamma is a symbol of self-respect for the lower classes and serves as an inspiration for all communities.
Ilamma’s bravery during the Telangana armed struggle continues to inspire the current generation. She dedicated herself to improving the lives of the weaker sections of society.
