The Akshaya Patra Foundation in Telangana celebrated 15 years of serving meals from its centralised kitchens in Kandi, Narsingi, Nawabpet, and Warangal. A special event was held to mark this milestone, bringing together corporate leaders, educators, and supporters of the foundation’s mission to end hunger and promote education in India.
During the event, Justice N V Ramana, former chief justice of India, inaugurated new rice-washing machines, curry-making equipment, and vessel cleaning machines. He emphasized the importance of organizations like Akshaya Patra in providing nutritious meals to government school children and addressing malnutrition issues in the country.
Madhu Pandit Dasa, the foundation’s founder-chairman, highlighted the collective effort that has led to 15 years of successful operations in Telangana. He praised the government, partners, and individuals who have supported the mission to eradicate hunger and nourish young minds.
Satya Gaura Chandra Dasa, a trustee and regional president of the foundation in Hyderabad, mentioned that Akshaya Patra has served over 25 crore meals since its inception. This significant accomplishment reflects the impact of the foundation’s work in combating hunger and empowering communities through education.
