    Hyderabad: The Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB) in Hyderabad will be open to the public from August 1 to August 5 as part of the One Week, One Lab initiative. This initiative aims to showcase the research and technology development at CCMB.

    During this week, CCMB will highlight various aspects of its research and technology development. The goal is to foster collaboration with industry for the deployment and commercialization of technology, identify potential industries for co-development, and inspire young entrepreneurs to start their own businesses.

    The One Week, One Lab initiative will begin on August 1 with an inauguration event. On August 2, there will be a workshop for high school teachers to promote educational kits developed by CCMB. On August 3, improved rice varieties will be distributed to farmers from across Telangana. August 4 will feature an exclusive session between CCMB senior scientists and college students. The last day will host a consultative meeting on invasive species for invited forest and government officials.

    The themes for this year’s event include Developmental Biology, Structural Biology, Genomics and Epigenetic Regulation, Cell and Stem Cell Biology, Microbes and Biology of Infection, and Wildlife Conservation and Ecology.
