Candidates in Nalgonda district are eagerly waiting for the counting process to begin at 8 am on Sunday. The counting will take place in a warehouse at Duppalapalli, Thipparthy mandal of Nalgonda Constituency. It will start with the counting of postal ballots, followed by votes in Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs).
During the campaign, both Congress and BRS parties worked hard to gain voter support. Congress leaders like AICC President Kharge held campaign meetings, while CM KCR and IT Minister KTR led the charge for BRS candidates. BRS focused on development and welfare programs, while Congress criticized KCR’s governance, alleging dictatorship, family rule, corruption, and State debts.
National leaders like Union Home Minister Amit Shah campaigned for BJP candidates, intensifying the competition mainly between BRS and Congress. Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, and PCC President Revanth Reddy actively supported Congress contestants.
The counting results are eagerly awaited, with exit polls suggesting a leaning towards Congress. However, KCR’s potential victory adds uncertainty to the outcome. Both BRS and Congress candidates remain optimistic as the public waits for the final verdict.
The Congress wave seems to have influenced the Erstwhile Nalgonda district, raising confidence among BRS candidates who believe welfare scheme beneficiaries are on their side. There is speculation about a historic Congress victory in Nalgonda district, but the extent of the Congress wave remains uncertain. The fate of the candidates will be revealed soon.
